  I have had two teachers, Ms.Lin and Ms.Wu,  when I was an elementary school student.  These two teachers were similar in several ways.  For one thing,  they were both female and single, and in addition, they were both kind.  Ms. Wu was patient and careful, and so was Ms. Lin.  Moreover, Ms.Lin as well as Ms. Wu was an English teacher.  Besides, Ms. Wu worked hard.  Likewise, Ms. Lin worked hard.  They not only taught us contents in the textbook but also exposed us to some useful knowledge.  Last, it was fun to attend these two teachers' classes because both of them let students learn English by playing some games.
  I think Ms. Wu as well as Ms. Lin was really great teacher and that they influenced me so much.

  John Adams and Thomas Jefferson share many similarities.  First of all, they were both important people in the American Revolution.  Besides, both of them were delegates to the Continental Congress.  In addition, John Adams as well as Thomas Jefferson studied and practiced law.  John Adams was a signer of  Declaration of Independence; likewise, Thomas Jefferson was also a signer of Declaration of Independence.  And their last similarity is that they both died on July 4, 1826.  According to the statement above, we can find that these two men are really alike.

    There are two ladies hoodies, one of which is from Lourue's and the other is from GREEN'S.  These two ladies hoodies are alike in several ways.  To begin with, they are both machine washable and moreover, they are equally made of cotton blend.  In addition, each of them has four colors: red, navy, white, green and furthermore, they both have sizes from 4 to 14.  Last but not least, their prices are the same.  If you are looking for  ladies hoodies, you can choose from these two ones.

  There is information about two apartments, Fairfax Apartments and CAMPUS APTS.  They have some differences, and I prefer Fairfax Apartments.  For one thing, Fairfax Apartments has two large bedrooms while CAMPUS APTS has only one bedroom.  Moreover, the rooms of Fairfax Apartments are air conditioned while the room of CAMPUS APTS is not.
  Although the rent of Fairfax Apartments is more expansive and it doesn't alllow pets, I will still choose Fairfax Apartments because I think it's suitable for me.

  There are two people applying for the position as an English instructor.  One of them is Lynn Whitnall and the other is Debra Fines.  If I were the human resource manager, I will accept the application from Debra Fines for several reasons.  First, Debra has more education than Lynn.  Debra has gone to three universities while Lynn has gone to one.  Besides,   Debra also has more employment experiences than Lynn.  She has  worked as a consultant and author,  an instructer and a teaching assistant and so on.Though unlike Lynn, Debra doesnt's speak Spanish and Japanese, she is fluent in French.  And in addition, Debra has publication whereas Lynn doesn't.  According to the statemaent above,  Debra seems to be the better choice for this job.

Discussing Cause-2

Michael Williams opened a small music store selling compact discs on September 5, but he soon closed his shop.  After reading its description, I think I know why Mr. Williams failed.  First of all, the location of his store was not good.  It was outside of town and unfortunately, there were two large music stores in the shopping center which is 3 miles away from it.  Most people would go to the shopping center and just buy CDs at those two large music stores instead of Mr. Williams’ store.  Another account is the type of the CDs he sold.  Most of them were hip-hop and rock, which were popular with young people.  However, the majority of the residents in this region were middle age or old.  In addition, the shop was open Monday to Friday from 1 to 5 p.m., but the time when people would walk past the store was 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 12 a.m.  And that Mr. Williams would not accept checks or credit cards was also a problem.  Some of the customers might consider it inconvenient and decide not to buy CD if they didn’t have enough money on hand.  The statement above is my opinion on Mr. Williams’ failure in operating his music store and I feel sorry for him.

Discussing Cause-1

 I decide to major in English and the followings are my reason.  For one thing, English has been an international language.  People all over world learn and use it; likewise, in Taiwan, most everyone learn English.  Another reason is that when I apply for a job, mastering English can be my advantage.  That is, if I’m good at English, I may be more likely to get a job.  Last, I want to travel around the world.  Since that I am unlikely to be able to speak every foreign language, it is useful to speak English fluently.  Even if I can’t speak the local language of the country I go, I can still communicate with people in English.  Such were why I decide to major in English and I think my decision is right.
